Tight security for New Year’s Eve in Cologne, Germany

Mass sexual assaults and attacks on women marred the 2015 New Year’s Eve celebrations in Cologne, Germany.

Immigrants and North-African men in particular were blamed for the attacks, but police were also heavily criticised for failing to provide security.
