A Woody Guthrie song, This Land Is Your Land, was sung at a rally in Washington where several speakers condemned the executive order signed by President Donald Trump curtailing travel by citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries.
Meanwhile Mr Trump has dismissed the acting US attorney general, after she questioned the legality of his immigration ban.
